Calendar Spread

Also known as a horizontal spread, a Calendar Spread is a strategy where the risk of a

short option

defined

by a

long option

with the same

strike,

that

expires

farther out in time. There are two variations to this strategy: a

Call Calendar

and a

Put Calendar.
