The rally continued through December, wrapping up an insane buying frenzy in the fourth quarter of 2019. This puts the up almost 30% for the year – crazy! From an options-trading perspective, it's left me a little high and dry... I've had to take losses on a couple positions, and there hasn't been any opportunity to sell for months now. Kind of a bummer to end the year like this, but business continues into 2020. Let's hope we get a little more next year – I've been saying that since October, so sad!
New Articles
On a happier note, this slow market has allowed me to crank out a ton of content this month! I've published a new article about long put verticals. They are exactly the same as except they are done with puts making them instead of I also published an article that walks through the risk summaries I provide with each strategy article. It's located in the Root Strategies section of the Articles page, titled: Components of a Summary Table.
There's more! I also published a 2019 Portfolio Review where I discuss my best and worst trades of the year, analyze some interesting statistics regarding my trading performance, as well as share my thoughts moving into 2020. To go along with this article, I created a new section in my Trade Journal entitled "2019 Trades" where all of my trades from this year will be available. As we enter the new year, I'd like to start again fresh, so I needed to set aside the old to make room for the new.
Other than that, I've just been editing old articles and updating the Glossary to include the newest content. It's been a busy month with the holidays, work, various side projects, and Food for Theta updates. I'm a little short of breath, but the hard work pays off. I can't wait to move forward in 2020.

Wrapping Up the Decade
What a year... No, what a decade! It's hard to believe it's already over. Food for Theta has grown a ton since I first launched it in November of 2018, and will continue to get even better in 2020. As always, thank you for following along. I hope my work has helped motivate some of you to take control of your own finances. Challenging as it may be, it's truly rewarding to make personal progress and to master a difficult skill. Please have a safe and happy New Year – I'll see you nerds in the new decade!
